In 2018, we began with a WhatsApp group with a simple hypothesis: people in tier-2/3 towns weren’t really using the internet meaningfully yet. We believed that if we started with local content in their own language, they’d come back every day; once there was a habit and trust, that same space could naturally grow into classifieds and, eventually, something they used for almost everything online.This spark became Lokal. Our first instinct was to put everything in one place & one app - local updates, classifieds, jobs, matrimony and more. It worked, till it stopped working. Role Overview :
We are looking for a Content Strategy Associate / Intern who is passionate about content, internet trends, and audience engagement. This role is ideal for freshers with hands-on experience in content creation through platforms like YouTube, Instagram, or other personal projects. You'll research emerging trends, generate content ideas using AI tools, and contribute to building engaging micro-learning content for millions of users. 

Key Responsibilities :

• Conduct in-depth internet research using platforms like Google Trends, Reddit, YouTube, Instagram, and X to identify emerging trends and content opportunities.
• Research and recommend new micro-learning categories based on audience behavior and market insights.
• Use AI tools to generate scripts, content hooks, and creative concepts quickly and efficiently.
• Collaborate with the Marketing and Ads teams to develop high-performing content strategies that maximize engagement and business impact.
• Take complete ownership of content projects—from research and ideation to creating production-ready briefs.
• Experience managing personal content projects such as YouTube channels, Instagram pages, blogs, or online communities.
• Experience creating or managing digital content.
• Basic understanding of social media analytics and trending content formats.
• Passion for learning, experimenting, and staying updated with internet trends.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
• 0–2 years of experience in content strategy, digital media, content research, or related fields. Freshers with strong content creation experience are also welcome.
• Strong interest in content creation, internet trends, and digital media.
• Strong command over Regional Languages and English (written and spoken).
• Proficiency in AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, etc.), internet research, and content ideation.
• Excellent communication skills with an understanding of short-form content and audience engagement.
• Experience managing YouTube channels, Instagram pages, blogs, or other personal content projects.
• Knowledge of social media trends, analytics, and digital content creation.
• Passion for learning, experimenting, and staying updated with the latest internet trends.
