Are you passionate about helping organizations transform the way people work through AI? As a Digital Solution Engineer, AI Workforce, you will be a trusted technical advisor to customers, helping them envision, design, validate, and adopt AI-powered solutions across Microsoft 365 Copilot, agents, and the broader Microsoft AI ecosystem.

You will partner with customers and sales teams to lead the technical decision, translating business challenges into secure, scalable solutions and demonstrating how AI can deliver meaningful business outcomes. You will use your technical expertise and consultative skills to conduct technical discovery, deliver compelling L300+ demonstrations and workshops, design solution architectures, build prototypes and agents, and lead proofs of concept that demonstrate value in the customer's environment. 

As part of Microsoft's AI Workforce team, you will help customers move from AI possibility to practical implementation, bringing together Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio and agentic experiences to address real business scenarios. You will engage technical and business decision-makers to remove technical blockers, shape the solution approach, and build customer confidence in adopting AI responsibly and at scale. 

You will also contribute to a broader community of solution engineers, sharing reusable technical patterns, demonstrations and customer learnings while drawing on Microsoft's senior technical experts for complex opportunities. The DSE organization emphasizes architecture validation, workshops, POCs, rapid prototyping, technical depth and community-based knowledge sharing rather than routine presentations or basic product demonstrations. 

• Lead technical engagements: Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers, leading technical discovery and translating business requirements into secure, scalable AI and modern-work solutions.

• Drive the technical decision: Design and deliver compelling technical demonstrations, architecture sessions, workshops, rapid prototypes, pilots, and proofs of concept that demonstrate the value of Microsoft solutions and help customers confidently make technology decisions.

• Build AI-powered solutions: Apply hands-on expertise across Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, agents, and the broader Microsoft AI ecosystem to develop solutions addressing customers' business scenarios.

• Accelerate AI transformation: Help customers move from AI experimentation to adoption by identifying high-value use cases, validating technical feasibility, addressing technical blockers, and demonstrating measurable business value.

• Design secure and scalable architectures: Guide customers on solution architecture, security, governance, identity, data readiness, integration, and responsible AI considerations required to deploy AI solutions successfully.

• Engage technical and business decision-makers: Build trusted relationships with customer stakeholders, understand their technology strategy and priorities, and articulate how Microsoft's AI capabilities can support their transformation objectives.

• Collaborate to win: Partner with sales teams, specialists, architects, engineering teams, partners, and other technical experts to develop comprehensive solutions and successfully navigate complex customer requirements.

• Showcase technical excellence: Maintain deep technical expertise and continuously develop skills across AI, agents, Microsoft 365, security, and emerging technologies while bringing Microsoft's latest innovations into customer engagements.

• Scale technical impact: Capture and share customer insights, technical patterns, reusable demonstrations, architectures, best practices, and learnings to strengthen the broader technical community.

• Embody Microsoft's culture: Demonstrate a growth mindset, customer obsession, collaboration, inclusion, integrity, and accountability in customer and team engagements.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Technology, or a related field, OR equivalent practical experience.

Experience in a technical pre-sales, solution engineering, solution architecture, technical consulting, or customer-facing technology role, with the ability to translate business requirements into compelling technical solutions.

Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 and AI-powered productivity solutions, with knowledge of areas such as Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, agents, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Microsoft Graph, Power Platform, or related technologies.

Demonstrated ability to deliver hands-on technical engagements, including technical demonstrations, architecture and whiteboarding sessions, workshops, rapid prototypes, pilots, or proofs of concept. This directly reflects the FY27 DSE expectation to prioritize high-value technical activities over basic presentations and demonstrations.

Understanding of enterprise security, identity, data governance, compliance and responsible AI considerations relevant to deploying AI solutions in enterprise environments. Current AIWF execution guidance specifically calls for DSEs to resolve technical, governance and compliance concerns during customer engagements. 

Ability to engage and communicate effectively with technical and business decision-makers, connecting technology capabilities to customer requirements and business outcomes.

Strong problem-solving, technical communication and consultative skills, with the ability to navigate complex customer environments and collaborate across sales, engineering, partners and customer teams.
