• Designs and builds the deal assessment financial models in an optimal way that supports both internal and client needs
• Applies industry knowledge and previous experience as an input to the cost review process. Challenges solution team to ensure optimal costing position is achieved. 
• Thorough understanding of the tools and able to provide feedback towards continuous improvement
• Thorough understanding of all the relevant policies as well as be able to work with stakeholders to provide feedback and suggest changes
• Thorough understanding of the relevant accounting policies applicable on deals and able to challenge the accounting team in case of difference in interpretation
• Works with the team to determine the price to win, produces the pricing templates and drives the solution costings to a winning price.  Performs analytical review and actively contributes to pricing discussion for preparation for customer meeting to explain pricing behaviour and required pricing structure over deal term
• Uses experience to propose improvements to the structure of the deal that improve the competitiveness of the outcome whilst balancing the company’s financial metric requirements
• Has a clear view of the company’s preferred positions and can draft proposal and T&C’s content to achieve these positions. Provides input to legal on all financial related T&C’s
• Drives the team to follow the governance process, ensures team is fully briefed and prepared, presents the deal professionally at VRBs if called upon.  Leads internal finance reviews and provides strong input to VRB leaders
