Good to have skills: Data warehousing, Performance tuning, Unix/Linux, Shell scripting, Job scheduling tools Preferred Qualifications: • Experience optimizing DataStage jobs for performance (parallelism, partitioning, tuning stages, and efficient design patterns). • Exposure to data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling basics, and batch processing best practices. • Familiarity with scheduling/automation and operational monitoring for ETL workflows. • Experience working in Agile teams with strong collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills. • Ability to improve standards through reusable frameworks, documentation, and proactive reliability enhancements. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows using IBM InfoSphere DataStage to support enterprise data integration needs. • Build and enhance DataStage jobs, sequences, and reusable components aligned to best practices and project standards. • Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, validation, and reconciliation activities. • Perform source-to-target mapping implementation and ensure accurate transformation logic across ETL processes. • Troubleshoot job failures, analyze logs, resolve data issues, and perform root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence. • Support deployments across environments and collaborate with teams to ensure smooth releases and minimal downtime. • Create and maintain technical documentation including job design specs, runbooks, and operational procedures. • Work with stakeholders to clarify requirements, estimate effort, and provide regular status updates on deliverables. Minimum Qualifications: • Education: BTECH, MTECH, MCA, MSC (or equivalent). • 3–5 years of experience in ETL development with strong hands-on expertise in IBM InfoSphere DataStage. • Solid understanding of ETL concepts, data transformations, and end-to-end pipeline execution. • Strong working knowledge of SQL including joins, aggregations, subqueries, and performance tuning basics. • Experience in debugging ETL jobs, handling data quality checks, and supporting production issues.
