Software Engineer Intern (Product Engineering, AI & Test Automation)

About the Role

We are seeking highly motivated Software Engineer Interns to join our Product Engineering team and contribute to the development of next-generation AI-powered enterprise applications. As an intern, you will work alongside experienced architects, developers, and quality engineers to build, test, and optimize scalable software solutions leveraging modern technologies including Python, Generative AI, APIs, Cloud Platforms, Automation Frameworks, Data Platforms, and Microservices.

This role offers hands-on exposure to software development, AI-driven solutions, automated testing, and enterprise-scale application architecture in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software components using Python and modern development frameworks.
• Build, consume, and validate REST APIs and integrations across enterprise applications.
• Develop AI-powered solutions leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs), Agentic AI, Prompt Engineering, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Contribute to backend services development using FastAPI and microservices architecture.
• Design and implement automated test frameworks for functional, integration, API, and end-to-end testing.
• Create reusable automation scripts to improve product quality, reliability, and performance.
• Execute test plans including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Analyze defects, identify root causes, and collaborate with development teams on resolutions.
• Work with structured and unstructured data to implement business rules and validation logic.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, performance optimization, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate effectively with Product Managers, Architects, Developers, and QA teams across global locations.
• Explore emerging AI technologies and apply innovative solutions to real-world business challenges.

Required Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in:

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

Required Technical Skills

Programming

• Strong proficiency in Python (mandatory).
• Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), Data Structures, and Algorithms.
• Basic understanding of Java is a plus.

API & Integration Technologies

• REST API development and testing.
• HTTP, REST, and API integration concepts.
• JSON and XML data formats.
• Experience with Postman or similar API testing tools.

Database Technologies

• Strong SQL skills.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Snowflake, or other relational databases.
• Ability to write complex queries and validate data across systems.

Test Automation & Quality Engineering

• Understanding of software testing methodologies.
• Exposure to:
