This role has been designed as ‘’Onsite’ with an expectation that you will primarily work from an HPE office.

Job Description:

   

We are looking to hire Test Engineers for the Data Center (DC-QA) team in Bangalore. The Data center Unit (QA) team is responsible for quality assurance of the various L2/ L3 domain areas for every release that being shipped to the Customer.

Be a part of the team with highly energetic and talented engineers working in the areas of Switching and Routing. Will be responsible for high-quality deliverables by working with internal teams such as Development,  QA, program management etc. Expected to build and sustain strong technical skills.

What you’ll do:

Will be responsible for providing solid support of Networking Products that involve customer-specific tests for a release, product, and solution. This
role requires to develop and maintain expertise on the products deployed within the Specific Customer Networks. The Candidate should have
expertise in networking fundamentals, L2/L3 protocols and hands on experience in both manual & automation of multi-dimensional scaled
solutions testing.

 

What you need to bring:  

• Must have strong Routing/Switching background.

• Must have strong experience with routers and switch architecture.

• Must be playing a strong technical role in the current position 

• A clear understanding of the product development cycle, technical requirements with a strong understanding of concepts related to computer architecture, data structures and programming practices.

• 10+ years of  relevant test experience in Layer2/Layer3 technologies on any competitive devise set

• Candidate having Regression test environment/Tools exposure is  an added asset.

• Candidate must have a strong record delivering software test projects on-time and with high quality

• A Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Electrical / Electronics Engineering a Master Degree; or equivalent experience is required.

• Candidate must possess good oral and written communication skills, be highly self-motivated, and have the ability to work in a team environment.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Domain Knowledge: Cloud Provider/ Enterprise and Data Centre Technologies and AI/ML Data Center Network Technologies
  Networking Protocols: BGP, OSPF/ISIS, ARP, VLANS, MPLS, L3VPN, MC-LAG, LACP, L2VPN, VPLS, Multicast, NGMVPN,
  EVPN-VXLAN, GRE, IPSec, NAT, HTTP, NetConf, etc

• Experience with internet protocols: TCP, UDP, Ipv4/IPv6

• Internet Protocols: TCP, UDP, Ipv4/IPv6

• Layer 2 technologies, Spanning Tree, LAG, MC-LAG, Virtual Chassis

• CLOS Architecture, HA Design Concepts, EVPN

• Test Knowledge: Prepare Test Plans, Test Execution, Understanding of Complex Customer Networks.

• Automation: Experience in automated test execution, ability to debug automation failures, and narrow down software issues
  from test results and logs. Knowledge in Python/Pytest/Go or any other scripting language.

• Expertise in use of networking test equipment like Spirent and Ixia, including automation

• Platform Knowledge: Juniper (routers, switches), Cisco, Nortel, Huawei, traffic generators (Ixia, Agilent)/ traffic simulators, protocol analyzers, testers etc (not all are required but some of these are good to have).

• Preferred Certifications - CCNA/CCNP/CCIE, JNCIS-M, JNCIP-M, JNCIE-M, CCIE-SP
