Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Principal Analog Design Engineer to lead the architecture, design, and development of advanced high-speed interface circuits for next-generation semiconductor products. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in designing and validating high-performance analog and mixed-signal blocks, including DFE, CTLE, PLLs, Transmitters, Receivers, CDRs, and SerDes subsystems, targeting industry standards such as PCIe, UCIe, DDR, LPDDR, CXL, USB, and Ethernet. 

The candidate should have a proven track record of independently delivering silicon-proven designs while also providing strong technical leadership and mentoring a team of junior engineers. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Architect, design, and validate high-speed analog and mixed-signal circuits for advanced interface IPs. 
  • Lead the development of critical building blocks including:  
  • Decision Feedback Equalizers (DFE) 
  • Continuous-Time Linear Equalizers (CTLE) 
  • Phase-Locked Loops (PLL) 
  • Clock and Data Recovery (CDR) circuits 
  • High-speed Transmitters and Receivers 
  • Reference and bias circuits 
  • SerDes front-end and clocking circuits 
  • Perform transistor-level design, simulation, and optimization for performance, power, area, and robustness. 
  • Drive full-chip integration and collaborate with digital, verification, layout, packaging, SI, and product engineering teams. 
  • Analyze and resolve silicon bring-up, characterization, and production issues. 
  • Review circuit designs, verification methodologies, and layout implementations to ensure first-pass silicon success. 
  • Develop design methodologies and best practices for next-generation high-speed interfaces. 
  • Mentor and technically guide a team of 3–4 analog design engineers, fostering engineering excellence and career development. 
  • Participate in technical roadmap planning and contribute to future interface architecture discussions. 

Qualifications

  • M.S./M.Tech or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field from a reputed university. 
  • 15+ years of industry experience in Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Design following completion of the Master's degree. 
  • Extensive experience in designing and delivering silicon-proven high-speed interface circuits. 
  • Strong understanding of:  
  • Analog circuit design fundamentals 
  • High-speed signaling and channel behavior 
  • Jitter, noise, equalization, and clock recovery techniques 
  • CMOS device physics and deep submicron design 
  • Hands-on experience with industry-standard tools such as Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre, AMS, and related verification environments. 
  • Experience with advanced semiconductor technologies (FinFET and beyond).
