Retail Sales Executive

Job Summary:

As a Retail Sales Executive at our Arts and Crafts Supplies Store, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, driving sales, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers. This role involves assisting customers in finding the right art and craft supplies, offering product knowledge, and maintaining a visually appealing and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service:

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and approachable manner.
• Understand and fulfill customer needs by providing product recommendations and answering inquiries.
• Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally and escalate when necessary.

1. Sales and Product Knowledge:

• Actively engage customers to promote products and achieve sales targets.
• Stay informed about new art and craft supplies, promotions, and trends to provide accurate information to customers.
• Cross-sell and upsell products to enhance the customer's shopping experience.

1. Visual Merchandising:

• Ensure merchandise is attractively displayed and shelves are well-stocked.
• Implement visual merchandising standards to create an inviting and aesthetically pleasing store environment.
• Regularly update displays to highlight promotions and featured products.

1. Cash Handling and Transactions:

• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Handle cash, credit card, and other payment methods in accordance with store policies.
• Maintain a secure and organized cash register area.

1. Inventory Management:

• Assist in receiving and organizing incoming merchandise shipments.
• Monitor and report inventory levels to management.
• Participate in periodic stock counts and help maintain accurate inventory records.

1. Store Maintenance:

• Keep the store clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times.
• Perform routine tasks such as restocking shelves, cleaning, and arranging displays.

1. Team Collaboration:

• Collaborate with colleagues to achieve store goals and objectives.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management to address challenges and provide feedback.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in retail sales, preferably in an arts and crafts or similar environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Passion for arts and crafts with a good understanding of various art supplies.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
