Role Title – Senior Software Engineer

Location- Bangalore- Manyata tech Park

Impact and Contributions:

Successfully contributed to the design, development, and support of enterprise-scale applications using Pega, Java, and cloud-native technologies. Delivered secure, scalable, and high-quality solutions by collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, driving engineering best practices, and implementing automation and CI/CD processes. Proactively resolved complex production issues, improved application performance and reliability, and mentored team members to strengthen technical capabilities and promote continuous improvement.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Pega Platform, Java, and JEE technologies, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions.

• Collaborate with product owners, architects, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into robust technical designs and deliverables.

• Drive adherence to Pega architecture, design, coding, and development standards, ensuring consistency, maintainability, and quality across applications.

• Champion code reviews and engineering best practices, promoting high standards of code quality, security, performance, and reusability.

• Build and maintain backend services, integrations, and APIs, supporting enterprise workflows and emerging agentic capabilities.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production, implementation, deployment, and environment issues, ensuring system stability and operational excellence.

• Analyse application performance and system behaviour, providing recommendations and implementing improvements to enhance scalability, resilience, and security.

• Develop and enhance automated testing frameworks, including unit, integration, and system testing, to improve software quality and delivery efficiency.

• Promote modern engineering practices, including CI/CD, automation, observability, monitoring, and secure software delivery across the development lifecycle.

• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members, fostering best design practices, quality engineering standards, continuous learning, and knowledge sharing.

• Work closely with support teams and stakeholders to ensure effective system support, incident resolution, and implementation of corrective actions for business-critical applications.

• Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and engineering best practices, evaluating opportunities to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

Essential Skills:

• 8–9 years of hands-on software engineering experience in designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-scale applications using Java, Spring Boot, Pega Platform, REST APIs, and microservices architectures.

• Strong experience in application architecture, object-oriented design, integration patterns, API development, and distributed systems, with a focus on scalability, performance, and maintainability.

• Proven experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools and practices to improve engineering productivity, code quality, testing, documentation, and software delivery outcomes.

• Experience working with cloud-native technologies and platforms, with hands-on exposure to AWS/Azure/GCP. AWS experience and cloud certification are highly desirable.

• Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies, Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), DevSecOps practices, and iterative development models in large-scale enterprise environments.

• Industry-recognised certifications such as Java Certification, Pega CSSA, AWS Developer, Solutions Architect, or related cloud certifications are highly regarded.

• Hands-on experience with relational or NoSQL databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, including data modelling, performance tuning, and SQL optimisation.

• Strong knowledge of modern application security and integration standards, including RESTful APIs, OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT, OWASP security principles, and secure coding practices.

• Experience with modern engineering and platform tooling, including GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, ECS/Fargate, Terraform, CDK, observability, monitoring, and CI/CD automation.

Education:  Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology
