Job Description
- 1. Site Survey & AssessmentConduct site surveys for residential, commercial, and industrial solar projects.
- Check roof condition, available installation area, shading, orientation, and structural requirements.
- Take accurate site measurements and photographs.
- Identify technical challenges and provide suitable solutions.
- 2. Solar Installation SupervisionSupervise installation of solar panels, mounting structures, inverters, cables, earthing, and other equipment.
- Ensure installation is carried out according to approved drawings and technical specifications.
- Coordinate with installation teams, electricians, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Monitor daily site progress and ensure timely completion.
- 3. Electrical & Technical WorkUnderstand basic electrical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLD), and solar system layouts.
- Check DC and AC cable routing and connections.
- Ensure proper earthing, lightning protection, and safety arrangements.
- Assist with inverter installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- 4. Quality & SafetyEnsure proper quality standards are followed during installation.
- Conduct regular site inspections.
- Ensure workers follow safety procedures and use appropriate PPE.
- Identify and report defective materials or unsafe working conditions.
- 5. Documentation & ReportingPrepare daily site progress reports.
- Maintain installation checklists and site records.
- Record material consumption and site requirements.
- Report project delays, technical issues, and additional requirements to management.
- Submit photographs and completion reports as required.
- Customer & Team CoordinationCoordinate with customers regarding site access and installation activities.
- Explain basic system operation to customers after installation.
- Coordinate with the sales and project teams for smooth project execution.
- Handle basic customer queries related to installation and technical issues.
