Cashier

 Core Responsibilities

·        Patient Intake & Registration: Greet patients, register their details in the Clinic Management, and create or update electronic health records.

·        Billing & Invoicing: Generate accurate bills for OPD consultations, laboratory tests based on doctor prescriptions.

·        Payment Collection: Process various payment modes including cash, cards, and digital wallets, ensuring daily reconciliation of collected funds. Authorization for diagnostic procedures.

·        Patient Guidance: Explain the cost of different diagnostic packages or tests and guide patients to the respective laboratory or imaging departments.

·        Reporting & MIS: Maintain daily MIS (Management Information System) reports on patient footfall, revenue collected, and pending payments.

·       Cash handling & billing operations: Issue receipts and maintain proper billing records for patients; Deposit cash collections as per company policy; Properly close the billing and accurate report to the accounts department; Maintain confidentiality of financial and patient data; Work closely with front desk, pharmacy, and accounts departments; Report discrepancies or issues to the finance manager/ accounts manager.

Required Skills

·        Communication: Ability to explain complex billing procedures and costs to patients clearly and empathetically.

·        Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using healthcare management software, EHR/EMR systems, and basic MS Office (Excel for revenue tracking).

·        Multitasking: Capability to manage a busy reception desk, answer phone inquiries, and process payments simultaneously.

·        Problem-Solving: Resolving billing discrepancies or issues with insurance denials promptly to maintain patient trust.
