Interior Designer / 3D Designer – AutoCAD & SketchUp

Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹35,000 per month

Location: Jajpur / Bhubaneswar / Remote – India

About the Role

Moghara is looking for a creative and technically skilled Interior Designer who can understand client requirements, suggest suitable design ideas, prepare 2D floor plans and create 3D interior designs.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working independently and taking a project from client requirement → space planning → 2D drawings → 3D design → client presentation → design revisions → execution drawings.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand client requirements, lifestyle, preferences and budget.

• Suggest creative, practical and aesthetically pleasing interior-design solutions.

• Prepare 2D floor plans and furniture layouts using AutoCAD.

• Create 3D interior designs and models using SketchUp.

• Prepare 3D views/renders for client presentations.

• Design residential spaces such as:

• Living rooms

• Bedrooms

• Modular kitchens

• Wardrobes

• Dining areas

• TV units

• False ceilings

• Pooja rooms

• Other interior spaces

• Prepare working/detail drawings required for execution.

• Make electrical, ceiling, furniture and other relevant layouts.

• Suggest suitable materials, colours, finishes, furniture, lighting and accessories.

• Present designs to clients and incorporate feedback/revisions.

• Coordinate with the project/site team when required.

• Ensure designs are practical, cost-conscious and suitable for execution.

• Maintain project drawings and design documentation.

Required Skills

Must have:

• Good knowledge of AutoCAD

• Good knowledge of SketchUp

• Strong understanding of interior space planning

• Ability to create attractive and practical 3D interior designs

• Understanding of residential interior design

• Ability to prepare accurate 2D drawings

• Good design sense and attention to detail

Preferred:

• Experience with Enscape, V-Ray, Lumion, D5 or other rendering software

• Knowledge of modular kitchen and wardrobe design

• Knowledge of furniture detailing and interior materials

• Experience with working/execution drawings

• Experience dealing directly with clients

• Site/installation experience

Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone who:

• Has 1–3 years of experience in an interior-design company.

• Can independently develop design concepts rather than only following instructions.

• Can understand what a client wants and suggest better alternatives.

• Has a good portfolio of residential interior projects.

• Is comfortable communicating with clients and the project team.

• Is creative but also understands practical execution.

• Can work independently and meet project deadlines.

Candidates with strong practical skills and an excellent portfolio may be considered even if their experience is slightly below or above the preferred range.

Language Preference

Odia-speaking candidates are preferred, especially candidates familiar with the Odisha residential-interior market.

Hindi and basic English communication skills are also desirable.

Location

We are flexible about location:

• Jajpur – preferred for candidates willing to relocate

• Bhubaneswar

• Anywhere in Odisha

• Remote – candidates from anywhere in India

For remote candidates, occasional coordination with the project/site team may be required.

Salary

₹25,000 – ₹35,000 per month, depending on experience, technical skills and portfolio.
