Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and customer-focused Service Engineer – Medical Equipment to install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and service medical equipment at hospitals, clinics, laboratories, and healthcare facilities. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning, reliability, and timely maintenance of medical equipment while providing excellent technical support to customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, commission, inspect, and troubleshoot medical equipment at customer locations.
• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance of medical equipment.
• Diagnose technical and electrical/electronic faults and carry out necessary repairs.
• Attend breakdown/service calls and ensure timely resolution of customer complaints.
• Conduct equipment testing, calibration, and performance checks as per manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintain proper service records, maintenance reports, installation reports, and breakdown reports.
• Coordinate with customers, service teams, sales teams, and manufacturers for technical issues.
• Provide technical guidance and basic operational training to hospital/clinical staff.
• Ensure availability and proper handling of required spare parts, tools, and service accessories.
• Follow safety procedures, company policies, and manufacturer service standards.
• Escalate major technical issues to the senior technical team or manufacturer whenever required.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify recurring problems.
• Support warranty and AMC/CMC-related service activities.
• Maintain good professional relationships with hospitals, biomedical departments, and customers.
• Prepare daily/weekly service reports and update service status to the reporting manager.
• Travel to customer locations as required for installation, maintenance, and breakdown services.

Required Skills

• Good knowledge of electrical, electronics, mechanical, or biomedical equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Basic knowledge of medical/diagnostic equipment and hospital environments.
• Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and equipment specifications.
• Good communication and customer-handling skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office, email, and service reporting.
• Willingness to travel to customer locations.

Educational Qualification

• Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics & Communication, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or related technical field.

Experience

• 1–5 years of experience in servicing, installation, maintenance, or troubleshooting of medical/healthcare equipment.
• Freshers with relevant technical qualifications and strong troubleshooting skills may also be considered.
