Accountant

We build residential apartments in Jigani, Bangalore, and hire for our ongoing and upcoming projects. We need an Accountant to keep the books of our group companies current every day.

You will work in our own accounting system, which reads the bank statements and proposes the head for each transaction. You check and confirm those entries, book bills and payments, reconcile the banks, and keep GST and TDS on time. You work with our chartered accountant on the yearly accounts and report to the owner.

What you will do:

Review and confirm the day's bank and cash entries; book each one to the right ledger, party and project

Book vendor and contractor bills against purchase orders and measured work; schedule payments

Reconcile every bank account and cash book monthly; clear the suspense account

Record customer receipts for flats; track dues and follow up

Compute and pay TDS; file quarterly TDS returns; issue Form 16A

Prepare and file GST returns; reconcile input credit with GSTR-2B

Keep the fixed-asset register and depreciation

Close each month: trial balance, profit and loss, balance sheet, project cost

Work with the chartered accountant on the yearly accounts, audit and income-tax filing

Keep supporting documents for every entry filed and findable

Work: Monday to Saturday, 9:30 am to 6:30 pm. Experience: 4+ years of hands-on bookkeeping, preferably for a builder, contractor or real-estate firm.
