Job Description
Job Title: Animal and Agricultural Farm Supervisor
About the Role: We are looking for a hands-on, dedicated Farm Supervisor to oversee daily operations at our goat breeding and fattening facility in Bhandartikuri, Purba Bardhaman (Near Nabadwip). You will manage a 2-acre high-yield fodder farm and a herd of 200+ Black Bengal goats. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who prioritizes animal welfare and crop productivity.
This position is for those candidates who are willing to reside in the farm only.
Key Responsibilities:
- Livestock Management: Ensure daily feeding, clean water access, and timely vaccination/deworming of 200 goats. Monitor animal health and isolate sick animals immediately.
- Fodder Production: Oversee the cultivation, harvesting, and storage of Napier and Maize fodder. Manage irrigation schedules and fertilizer application to maximize yield.
- Labor Supervision: Direct and train 2–5 farm workers in daily cleaning, feeding, and field tasks.
- Inventory & Records: Maintain accurate daily logs of feed consumption, livestock weight gain, births, deaths, and medicine usage.
- Farm Maintenance: Ensure sheds, fences, and equipment are clean and in good working condition.
