Continental Cook

Egg Cult is looking for a highly skilled Senior Commis 1 / DCDP-level kitchen professional with strong hands-on experience in continental/QSR café food.

This is primarily a hands-on cooking and execution role. We already have an established kitchen team and are looking for someone who is fast, disciplined and technically strong enough to handle a station independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently handle assigned kitchen stations during service

• Prepare sandwiches, eggs, fried chicken, sauces, dressings and other café/QSR preparations

• Maintain excellent consistency in taste, portioning and presentation

• Execute orders quickly and accurately during high-volume service

• Follow recipes, gram-wise portioning and SOPs strictly

• Handle mise-en-place and prep efficiently before service

• Maintain proper food storage, FIFO, labelling and hygiene standards

• Minimise food wastage and maintain portion control

• Coordinate smoothly with the CDP/kitchen lead and other team members

• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workstation throughout the shift

Who We’re Looking For

• Minimum 2–4 years of professional kitchen experience preferred

• Strong Commis 1, DCDP or CDP-level candidates can apply

• Experience in continental cafés, premium QSRs, burger/sandwich concepts or modern casual restaurants preferred

• Must be strong in eggs, sandwiches, frying, grilling, sauces and basic continental preparation

• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen

• Strong knife skills and mise-en-place management

• Must be disciplined about recipes, portion sizes and food hygiene

• Should be able to independently manage a station without constant supervision

Important: We are specifically looking for a strong hands-on kitchen candidate, not someone whose experience is primarily supervisory. Designation and compensation will be based on practical skill and experience.
