Site Engineer

Kushagra Infra is looking for a qualified and experienced Civil Engineer for its Railway Civil Repair and Maintenance Contract at Chandigarh. The work involves the repair, renovation, and maintenance of railway station buildings, staff quarters, service buildings, and other railway infrastructure.

The selected candidate will be responsible for supervising day-to-day repair and maintenance activities, coordinating with Railway officials, managing manpower and materials, maintaining site records, and ensuring quality workmanship and timely completion of assigned works as per Railway specifications.

Key Job Responsibilities:-

• Supervise and execute civil repair and maintenance works at railway stations, staff quarters, office buildings, service buildings, and other railway premises.
• Handle minor and major repair works, including plastering, brickwork, flooring, tiling, painting, whitewashing, and masonry repairs.
• Supervise roof repairs, terrace waterproofing, leakage treatment, dampness control, and other building maintenance activities.
• Execute repair and replacement of doors, windows, ventilators, and other building components as required.
• Carry out maintenance of toilets, bathrooms, kitchens, drainage lines, and other building facilities.
• Attend day-to-day complaints and maintenance requirements received from Railway authorities and ensure timely rectification.
• Inspect existing buildings and identify defects, structural deterioration, seepage, cracks, and other maintenance requirements.
• Study work orders, BOQs, drawings, and technical specifications before execution.
• Coordinate with Railway officials, departmental engineers, supervisors, and other concerned personnel for smooth execution of works.
• Prepare and maintain Measurement Books (MBs), site measurements, running account (RA) bills, and other billing documents.
• Prepare daily progress reports, work completion reports, material consumption statements, and site records.
• Arrange and monitor labour, materials, tools, and equipment required for maintenance activities.
• Check the quality of materials and workmanship and ensure compliance with applicable Indian Railways specifications.
• Ensure proper planning and execution of multiple repair works at different locations under the contract.
• Monitor material consumption, prevent wastage, and maintain control over project costs.
• Ensure that all work is carried out safely, particularly in operational railway stations and occupied railway quarters.
• Coordinate inspections and obtain necessary work completion confirmations from Railway officials.
• Assist in preparing estimates, variation statements, extra-item proposals, and other contractual documentation.
• Ensure timely completion of assigned works and support the preparation of final bills and contract closure documents.

Eligibility & Requirements:-

Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering.

• Experience: 2–5 years of relevant experience in civil construction, building repair, or maintenance works.
• Experience in Indian Railways contracts, particularly building repair and maintenance, will be preferred.
• Good knowledge of masonry, plastering, painting, waterproofing, flooring, and general building maintenance.
• Knowledge of BOQ, work orders, MB preparation, RA billing, and quantity estimation.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and AutoCAD.
• Ability to manage labour, contractors, materials, and multiple work sites.
• Good coordination and communication skills for dealing with Railway officials.
