Business Development Executive (Research & Outreach)

About DATAiLLAM

DATAiLLAM provides Business Development as a Service (BDaaS). We act as an extension of our clients’ growth teams: we research target markets, identify and qualify prospects, and open conversations with decision-makers, so our clients can focus on closing deals. We work with B2B technology and services companies.

The Role

You will be the research and outreach engine behind our prospecting work. You’ll find the right companies and people, understand what they need, and write the messages that get replies. This is a role for someone who likes digging into industries and writing clearly.

What You’ll Do

• Research companies, industries, and markets to find high-potential prospects

• Build and maintain prospect lists using LinkedIn and other research tools

• Write personalised outreach emails, short proposals and follow-ups

• Prepare brief prospect profiles that explain why a company should care about our client

• Track market trends and competitors, and share insights with the team

• Work with the leadership team to refine targeting and messaging

What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days)

• Build 50 qualified prospect lists per month for live campaigns
• Send 100 personalised outreach emails per week, with a target response rate of 60 %
• Independently research a new industry and present a one-page summary of its opportunities
• Contribute to at least 3 client proposals or pitch documents

What We’re Looking For

Must have

• 6 months to 2 years of experience in business development, lead generation, market research, or a similar role
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Strong research skills and the ability to turn findings into clear conclusions
• Comfort using LinkedIn and AI tools for research and writing

Good to have

• Exposure to B2B SaaS, technology or startups
• Familiarity with Sales Navigator, Apollo or a CRM

• A specific degree. We care about what you can do, not where you studied.

What You’ll Get

• Salary: ₹ 20,000 to ₹ 35,000 per month, with a review after the 3-month probation

• Exposure to B2B SaaS, IT services, staffing and recruitment, and business development outsourcing (BDaaS) markets across India and global markets.

• Location: Suite 101, 1st Floor at Door #108, BRK Towers, 1st Main Road, Rajiv Gandhi Salai, Burma Industrial Colony, Perungudi, Chennai, Tamil Nadu 600096
• Working days and hours: Monday to Friday - Flexible
