CNC Programmer

Key Responsibilities

·       Machine Setup: Install and align work holding devices, fixtures, chucks, and live tooling on CNC mills or lathes.

·       Tooling Preparation: Select, assemble, preset, and load cutting tools and inserts into the machine.

·       Offsets & Coordinates: Establish and verify work offsets, tool length offsets, and zero reference points.

·       Part Prove-Outs: Run first-piece test cycles, test codes, and perform dry runs to confirm accuracy.

·       Program Adjustments: Edit basic G-code/M-code or adjust feeds and speeds at the controller to eliminate chatter and fix minor errors.

·       Quality Inspection: Measure initial and finished components using precision tools like micrometers, calipers, and bore gauges.

Required Skills & Qualifications

·       Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of CNC controls (such as Fanuc or Siemens) and G-code reading.

·       Blueprint Reading: Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, CAD files, and Geometric Dimensioning and Telebanking (GD&T).

• Education: Diploma or ITI in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent vocational training.
• Experience: 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in CNC setting and precision machining.
