Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Chennai

Reporting To: Managing Director

• Qualifications & Experience: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
• Minimum 2 years of experience in design engineering, preferably in the Module Mounting Structures (MMS) industry
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, and STAAD
• Familiarity with international structural engineering standards
• Strong technical understanding of MMS systems and structural design
• Competency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Background in MMS manufacturing or solar structures will be an added advantage

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand client and project requirements to develop accurate and feasible MMS designs
• Perform calculations for tilt angle, wind load, and structural strength based on site conditions and wind zones
• Conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to verify structural integrity and load-bearing capacity of solar profiles
• Plan, modify, and optimize designs to meet specific wind speed and regional criteria
• Provide technical support to customers during installation and resolve any on-site design-related queries
• Ensure quality inspection and validation of all new profiles before market release
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors for continuous improvement in design standards and product performance
