Job SummaryWe are looking for a skilled Painter to perform surface preparation, painting, coating, and finishing work on equipment, structures, components, and other industrial/automobile-related materials while maintaining required quality and safety standards.
- Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, grinding, scraping, and removing rust, dust, oil, and old paint.
- Perform primer and paint application using spray guns, rollers, brushes, and other appropriate tools.
- Mix paints, thinners, hardeners, and other materials according to manufacturer specifications.
- Ensure proper paint thickness, colour, texture, and finishing quality.
- Carry out touch-up and rework activities whenever required.
- Inspect painted surfaces for defects such as uneven coating, bubbles, cracks, runs, or colour mismatch.
- Maintain and clean spray guns, painting equipment, tools, and work areas.
- Follow proper drying and curing procedures.
- Follow PPE requirements and all site/workshop safety procedures.
- Handle paints, solvents, and other chemicals safely.
- Coordinate with supervisors and other technicians to complete jobs within the required timeline.
- Maintain proper housekeeping in the painting area.
- Required SkillsGood knowledge of industrial/automobile painting techniques.
- Experience in surface preparation and paint mixing.
- Knowledge of spray painting and conventional painting methods.
- Ability to identify painting defects and perform corrections.
- Good understanding of workplace safety and PPE requirements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- QualificationITI / Diploma in Painting or relevant technical qualification preferred.
- Relevant hands-on experience may be considered in place of formal qualification.
Experience2–5 years of relevant experience in industrial, automobile, fabrication, or engineering painting.
