Site Engineer

Job Summary

Responsible for supervising and coordinating day-to-day construction activities at the project site, ensuring that work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

Site Execution

• Supervise daily construction activities and ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, workers, supervisors, and other project teams.
• Monitor manpower, materials, tools, and equipment required for site activities.
• Ensure proper execution of civil works including RCC, masonry, plastering, flooring, waterproofing, finishing, and related works.
• Check line, level, alignment, dimensions, and workmanship at site.
• Coordinate with consultants and project management teams for technical clarifications.

Quality Control

• Ensure construction work complies with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Conduct inspections and coordinate required tests for materials and completed works.
• Identify defects and ensure corrective actions are completed.
• Maintain inspection records, checklists, and quality documentation.

Planning & Progress

• Follow the approved project schedule and achieve daily/weekly targets.
• Prepare daily progress reports and update site activities.
• Monitor actual progress against planned quantities.
• Identify delays, material shortages, manpower issues, and other constraints and report them to the Project Manager.
• Coordinate with the Planning & Billing team for progress measurements and quantity updates.

Safety

• Ensure all site activities follow company safety procedures and statutory requirements.
• Ensure workers use appropriate PPE.
• Report unsafe conditions and assist in implementing corrective measures.
• Coordinate with the safety team during inspections and toolbox meetings.

Documentation

• Maintain site records, drawings, measurements, inspection requests, and work-related documents.
• Record daily manpower, material consumption, and work progress.
• Ensure the latest approved drawings and revisions are available at site.
• Assist in preparation of quantity measurements and billing documents.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience in construction/site execution.
• Experience in residential, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Good knowledge of civil construction methods.
• Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Basic knowledge of quantity measurement and estimation.
• Knowledge of construction materials and quality requirements.
• Basic MS Excel and documentation skills.
