Job Description

What you will do

  • Visit designated Mandi early each morning and buy fruits and vegetables against the daily requirement list
  • Negotiate prices with commission agents and wholesalers to get the best rate for the quality
  • Check quality, grade, freshness, and weight before buying
  • Track daily market rates and tell the team about price changes or shortages
  • Arrange loading and dispatch to our warehouse on time
  • Keep wastage low and keep accurate purchase records and bills
  • Build good relationships with reliable suppliers and farmers

Who We Are Looking For

  • 2–3 years of experience buying at a vegetable or fruit market
  • Good knowledge of produce quality, seasons, and price trends
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Able to report at 4:00 AM daily
  • Own two-wheeler and a valid driving licence
  • Basic smartphone use (WhatsApp, calculator, sharing photos)
  • Languages: Tamil / Hindi / English

Good to Have

  • Contacts with commission agents and wholesalers
  • Experience buying for hotels, restaurants, or retail chains
