Electrician

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, outlets, lighting, and control systems
• Inspect electrical systems to identify faults, hazards, or code violations
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
• Test electrical systems using appropriate tools and equipment
• Ensure all work complies with local and national electrical codes
• Troubleshoot electrical problems and perform repairs efficiently
• Replace or upgrade outdated or unsafe electrical components
• Follow safety procedures and use protective equipment
• Communicate with clients, supervisors, or contractors about job progress

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an electrician apprenticeship or technical training

Work Environment

• Residential homes, commercial buildings, or industrial sites
• May involve working indoors, outdoors, or in tight spaces
• Possible exposure to electrical hazards; strict safety rules required
