  • Experience liaising with suppliers and external partners to ensure design specifications align with manufacturing capabilities and timelines.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices related to off-highway vehicle design and quality assurance.

Experience working in complex organisational ecosystems and managing multiple interfaces is essential to excel in this demanding role.

Industry Preferred

We prefer candidates with industry experience in the off-highway sector, particularly in:

  • Tractor manufacturing and development
  • Construction equipment engineering and design
  • Harvesting and agricultural machinery sectors

Qualifications

Candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Agricultural Engineering (B.Tech/ B.E) from a recognised institution. Relevant postgraduate qualifications or certifications related to vehicle design, product development, or project management will be a strong asset.

Essential qualifications and skills include:

  • Sound engineering principles in mechanical systems design and agricultural machinery.
  • Proficiency in CAD software for developing and validating design concepts.
  • A solid grasp of vehicle dynamics to ensure product performance meets operational demands.
  • Understanding of product lifecycle management and quality assurance methodologies.

General Requirements

The role requires a clear understanding of organisational ecosystems and the ability to work collaboratively across departments and functions to deliver complex engineering projects. Essential general requirements include:

  • Strong CAD skills to support detailed component and system design development.
  • Deep knowledge of component design principles ensuring durability, manufacturability, and compliance.
  • Expertise in vehicle dynamics to optimize performance under diverse operating conditions.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills to foster collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
  • Adaptability to Mahindra & Mahindra's dynamic work environment, upholding the company’s values and standards.
