Picker / Packer

A Picker Packer is a vital warehouse role responsible for selecting, scanning, and packing items from inventory based on order forms, using technologies like handheld scanners. They ensure order accuracy, quality check items for defects, label packages, and prepare shipments while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient workspace. 

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Order Selection (Picking): Locate items in the warehouse/dark store using scanners or order lists.
• Quality Control: Inspect products for damage or defects before shipping.
• Packing: Select appropriate materials, pack items securely, and seal boxes.
• Labeling: Apply accurate shipping labels, barcodes, and documentation.
• Inventory Tracking: Update inventory systems, track stock levels, and report shortages.
• Safety Compliance: Maintain a clean workspace and follow all safety protocols.
• Loading: Occasionally assist in loading packed goods onto trucks.
