Quantity Surveyor

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor / BOQ Maker to handle quantity estimation, BOQ preparation, costing, billing, and site measurements for construction projects.

• Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed BOQs (Bill of Quantities) from architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Take-off quantities for RCC, masonry, plastering, flooring, painting, waterproofing, doors/windows, and other construction works.
• Prepare material quantity statements and construction estimates.
• Prepare rate analysis and project cost estimates.
• Check drawings and identify quantity requirements and discrepancies.
• Take actual measurements at project sites and verify completed work.
• Prepare and verify contractor/subcontractor bills based on site measurements.
• Compare quotations from contractors and suppliers.
• Track material consumption and quantities against BOQ.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, suppliers, and site supervisors.
• Maintain BOQ, measurement sheets, billing records, and quantity reports in Excel.
• Assist in project cost control and monitor variations/change orders.
• Prepare revised quantities when drawings or site requirements change.
• Visit multiple project sites as required and submit site measurement/progress reports.

Site Travel RequirementThe candidate must be flexible and willing to travel to different project/site locations whenever required.

Site visits may include:

• Taking measurements.
• Verifying quantities.
• Checking work progress.
• Checking contractor bills.
• Measuring completed work.
• Verifying material requirements.
• Coordinating with site engineers and contractors.

A valid driving licence and willingness to travel between project locations will be an advantage.

• Required SkillsGood knowledge of construction quantity take-off and estimation.
• Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation and measurement.
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel.
• Ability to read AutoCAD, architectural, and structural drawings.
• Knowledge of civil construction materials and methods.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently at both office and site locations.
• Willingness to travel as required by project requirements.
