Senior Fashion Consultant – Women’s Ethnic Wear

Her Choice is a 44-year-old women’s ethnic wear brand known for quality fabrics, Indian craftsmanship, and personalised service. We are looking for an experienced retail salesperson who can confidently guide customers and coordinate tailoring orders.

Your responsibilities

• Understand customers’ needs and recommend suitable garments, fabrics, colours, and styles.
• Explain product quality, craftsmanship, and value clearly.
• Handle customer questions and price concerns, close sales, and suggest relevant additional purchases.
• Guide customers on feasible tailoring options and explain fabric limitations.
• Record tailoring requirements accurately and coordinate instructions with our cutters.
• Follow up on customer orders and clarify requirements before work proceeds.
• Keep your assigned section organised, neatly presented, and ready for customers.

What we’re looking for

• Ideally three or more years of customer-facing apparel sales experience. Strong candidates with less experience will also be considered.
• Experience in women’s ethnic wear, sarees, dress materials, or boutiques preferred.
• Confidence serving customers buying premium garments.
• Clear spoken Tamil and enough English to comfortably assist English-speaking customers.
• Dependable attendance, careful follow-through, and willingness to take responsibility.
• Basic fabric and tailoring knowledge preferred. Training will be provided in our products and order process.
• Practical selling ability matters more than a fashion qualification. Cutting and stitching skills are not required.

Salary and schedule

• Fixed gross salary: ₹30,000–₹40,000 per month, depending on experience and practical assessment.
• Store hours: 11 a.m.–9 p.m.
• Six working days per week.
• One weekly day off scheduled on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday.
• Work location: Alwarpet, Chennai.
