Job Description

NIQ Activate is a single platform bringing together powerful retail capabilities — insights, analytics, and supplier collaboration tools. As we evolve our Promotion Effectiveness and Planning modules, we are looking for a Senior Product Manager to enable data-driven promotion strategy, optimization, and performance measurement.

Key responsibilities

  • Product Requirements & Prioritization: Create and maintain a well‑defined, prioritized product backlog aligned with business and product objectives.
  • PI Planning and Execution: Coordinate delivery through PI planning, execution, and review cycles to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
  • Collaboration with Data Science: Partner with data science to identify models, validate outputs, and ensure analytical robustness.
  • Technical Collaboration & Architecture Alignment: Work closely with Engineering to ensure scalable, efficient, and feasible solutions aligned to platform architecture.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Leverage market trends, competitive insights, and customer needs to inform roadmap and prioritization.
  • User Experience: Collaborate with UX to design intuitive workflows and ensure clear product documentation (Figma, acceptance criteria).
  • Product Advocacy & Enablement: Support commercial teams and translate analytical outputs into clear business value.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Build strong partnerships across Product, Engineering, Data Science, Sales, and Customer Success.
  • Lead a cross-functional product pod, driving alignment across Engineering, Data Science, UX, and business stakeholders to deliver measurable customer and business outcomes.
  • Own end-to-end delivery of product initiatives, proactively managing risks, dependencies, trade-offs, and execution progress.
  • Partner with Engineering leadership to support capacity planning, release readiness, and successful product delivery.
  • Own roadmap for promotion planning, forecasting, optimization, scenario planning, and post-event effectiveness measurement.
  • Define capabilities for uplift modeling, cannibalization analysis, promotion optimization, and scenario simulation.
  • Drive development of planning workflows and decision-support tools for pricing and promotions.
  • Ensure alignment with category management and revenue management processes.
  • Continuously improve models based on real-world performance and feedback loops.
  • Define and track product, adoption, operational, and business KPIs to continuously improve product performance, customer value realization, and revenue outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Analytical skills: Strong problem-solving skills with high data literacy and ability to interpret models and outputs.
  • Experience: 6+ years in Product Management building data-driven or analytical products at scale.
  • Experience leading cross-functional product teams and driving execution across Engineering, Data Science, UX, and business stakeholders.
  • Organizational skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive execution focus.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Business or equivalent.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication; ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
  • Experience presenting product strategy, roadmap decisions, and delivery status to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
  • Tools: Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, Jira, Confluence, Figma; familiarity with agile methodologies.
  • Experience defining success metrics, measuring product adoption, and driving business outcomes through data-driven decision making.
  • Domain expertise in promotion planning, trade promotion management, revenue growth management, category management, pricing, forecasting, or related retail optimization solutions.
  • Experience working with AI/ML-driven products, optimization models, forecasting solutions, simulation engines, or advanced decision-support systems.
