JOB DESCRIPTION – SITE ENGINEER

Position: Site Engineer – Construction

About the RoleWe are looking for a technically sound and responsible Site Engineer to manage and supervise day-to-day construction activities at project sites. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that construction work is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.

• Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and monitor daily construction activities at the project site.
• Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, workers, suppliers, and other site personnel.
• Monitor the quality of construction materials and workmanship.
• Check measurements and quantities of materials used at the site.
• Prepare and maintain daily site reports, work progress reports, measurements, and other site documentation.
• Monitor project progress and ensure work is completed within the planned schedule.
• Identify and report site issues, delays, and technical problems to the Project Manager / Management.
• Coordinate with the design and engineering teams for clarification of drawings and technical requirements.
• Ensure proper utilization of manpower and construction materials.
• Monitor material requirements and coordinate with the concerned team for timely availability.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and site safety requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections and ensure proper housekeeping at the construction site.
• Maintain records of work completed, materials received, and materials utilized.
• Assist in preparing estimates, BOQs, measurements, and quantity calculations when required.
• Ensure that construction activities comply with applicable standards and project specifications.
• Required QualificationsDiploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Candidates with relevant site construction experience will be preferred.
• Good knowledge of construction practices, drawings, measurements, and site supervision.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred.
• Knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office is preferred.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility for site activities.
• Willingness to travel and work at different project locations within Tamil Nadu.
