Helper Cook

Job Responsibilities

• Assist the cook in preparing food, snacks, beverages, and other cafe items.
• Prepare and handle basic ingredients such as vegetables, fruits, sauces, and other food items.
• Support cooking and food preparation as instructed by the head cook.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and food preparation areas.
• Wash and clean utensils, cooking equipment, and work surfaces.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of food ingredients.
• Assist with stock checking and inform the supervisor when supplies are running low.
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
• Support other cafe activities as required during busy hours.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of cooking and kitchen work.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Good personal hygiene and cleanliness.
• Punctual, responsible, and hardworking.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced cafe environment.
• Previous experience in a cafe, restaurant, bakery, or similar establishment is an advantage.

Working Conditions

• Full-time role with shifts as per cafe requirements.
• Weekly day off as per schedule
