Laptop Service Technician

We are looking for a skilled Chip Level Laptop Service Engineer to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair laptop motherboards and hardware issues at the component level. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of electronic circuits and hands-on experience in chip-level servicing.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair laptop motherboard issues at chip level
• Identify faults related to power, display, charging, and boot issues
• Perform IC replacement, BIOS flashing, jumper work, and rework
• Handle short circuit, no power, no display, overheating issues
• Use testing tools like multimeter, oscilloscope, soldering station
• Replace and repair components such as ICs, capacitors, resistors, MOSFETs
• Provide accurate repair estimates and service timelines
• Maintain service reports and follow quality standards
• Support junior technicians when required

Required Skills & Knowledge

Strong knowledge of laptop motherboard architecture

• Experience in chip-level soldering and desoldering (BGA/SMT)
• Understanding of circuit diagrams and schematics
• Hands-on experience with BIOS, EC, power sections
• Knowledge of major laptop brands (HP, Dell, Lenovo, Acer, Asus, etc.)
• Ability to work independently and under pressure

Qualifications

Diploma / ITI / Bachelor’s in Electronics or related field

• Certification in Laptop Chip Level Repair is an added advantage
• Experience1–5 years of experience in chip-level laptop servicing
