Job Description

A service engineer installs, maintains, diagnoses, and repairs machinery, equipment, or technical systems at client sites.

  • Key ResponsibilitiesInstallation and Setup: Set up new machinery or hardware and ensure it meets operational standards.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine and preventative checks to stop equipment from breaking down.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose technical issues quickly and fix broken parts on-site.
  • Client Communication: Explain complex technical problems and safe equipment use to customers.
  • Reporting: Write detailed logs of all repairs, parts used, and service visits.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Education: A degree or diploma in mechanical, electrical, or a related engineering field.
  • Technical Knowledge: Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and use diagnostic tools.
  • Problem-Solving: Skill in finding root causes of machine failures under pressure.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication and customer service abilities.
  • Mobility: A valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client locations.
