We are currently seeking a Software Development Senior Advisor to join our team in Coimbatore, Tamil Nādu (IN-TN), India (IN).

Day to Day job Duties: (what this person will do on a daily/weekly basis) 

Conduct technical analysis of existing COBOL applications, JCL, and databases (such as DB2, VSAM, or IDMS) to support maintenance and enhancement projects.
Integrating COBOL-based systems, developing scalable microservices, and building responsive front-end interfaces for logistics operations such as shipment tracking, warehouse management, and order processing.
Build Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Batch, Microservices
Build UI using Angular, HTML5, CSS3, TypeScript
Build sub-hub model using Kafka

 

 

Basic Qualifications: (what are the skills required to this job with minimum years of experience on each)

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum 10+ years of experience Java
Minimum  1+ years of experience in Cobol
Minimum  2+ years of experience modernizing logistics applications deployed on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

 

Key Skills

Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, CICS, IMS, MQ, VSAM (batch and real-time processes) and ability to understand the code.
Backend: Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Batch, Microservices
Frontend: Angular (v10+), HTML5, CSS3, TypeScript
Integration: Kafka, REST APIs, COBOL interfacing
Database: DB2, SQL optimization
Cloud: Google Cloud Platform (GKE, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL)

 

Travel:  NA. 

Degree: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or related field.

Nice to Have; (But not a must)

GCP or Java certifications are preferred.
