Field Sales Executive – Automobile Spare Parts

Compensation: ₹18,000–₹25,000 per month + performance-based incentives (proposed)

Travel: Own two-wheeler preferred; company travel arrangements may be considered.

About the role

Ashoka Motors is looking for an experienced Field Sales Executive to expand its customer network across Dehradun city. The candidate will be responsible for developing new business from independent automobile workshops, mechanics, multi-brand garages and spare-parts retailers.

The primary objective is to acquire new customers, convert them into repeat buyers and grow profitable sales while maintaining Ashoka Motors’ service standards.

Key responsibilities

1. Identify and visit new independent workshops, mechanics, garages and spare-parts retailers across Dehradun.
2. Build a locality-wise database of potential customers and maintain a structured follow-up schedule.
3. Understand customers’ parts requirements, purchasing patterns, current suppliers and service expectations.
4. Generate new enquiries, coordinate with the counter/DMS team and convert enquiries into orders.
5. Develop repeat business by following up on previous orders and pending requirements.
6. Promote genuine Maruti Suzuki parts and relevant accessories, subject to company policies and customer requirements.
7. Coordinate with the warehouse and delivery team to ensure timely fulfilment of orders.
8. Maintain daily visit reports, customer records, sales pipeline and collection follow-ups.
9. Identify opportunities for increasing sales of fast-moving parts without unnecessary discounting or excessive credit.
10. Submit weekly performance reports to management.

Candidate requirements

• 2–5 years of relevant automobile spare-parts or automotive field-sales experience preferred.
• Good knowledge of spare-parts retailers, independent workshops and mechanics.
• Ability to identify genuine parts requirements and develop long-term customer relationships.
• Strong communication, negotiation and follow-up skills.
• Comfortable with field visits, smartphone-based reporting, WhatsApp and basic Excel.
• Valid driving licence if using a two-wheeler.
• Honest, disciplined and comfortable working towards measurable sales targets.

Performance measures

• Number of qualified new prospects contacted and visited.
• Number of new customers placing their first order.
• Number of customers placing repeat orders.
• Monthly sales and gross-profit contribution from newly acquired customers.
• Collections against due payments.
• Customer retention and adherence to approved pricing and credit policies.
