Job Description
- Fiber Optic Cabling: Knowledge of handling, pulling, and laying fiber optic cables.
- Splicing & Termination: Basic understanding of fusion splicing and mechanical splicing.
- Cable Preparation: Stripping, cleaning, and preparing fiber cables for splicing.
- OTDR & Power Meter Testing: Familiarity with testing fiber lines using OTDR (Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer) and Light Source/Power Meters.
- Conduit & Duct Installation: Installing underground or aerial conduits and innerducts.
- Color Code Identification: Ability to identify fiber optic cable color codes accurately.
- Blueprints & Schematics: Reading and interpreting telecom blueprints, layout maps, and diagrams.
