HVAC Design Engineer

We are looking for an experienced HVAC Design Engineer / Draftsman to support our HVAC projects remotely. The candidate will be assigned projects on a job-to-job basis, with payment agreed separately for each assignment.

Scope of Work

1. Heat Load Calculation
2. Preparation of detailed room-wise and building-wise heat load calculations.
3. Cooling load estimation based on architectural drawings, occupancy, equipment, lighting, ventilation and fresh-air requirements.
4. HVAC Equipment / Unit Selection
5. Selection and sizing of VRF/VRV indoor and outdoor units.
6. Selection of AHUs, FCUs, ventilation fans and other HVAC equipment.
7. Preparation of equipment schedules.
8. VRF / VRV System Design
9. Refrigerant piping sizing and routing.
10. Preparation of refrigerant piping schematics.
11. Branch/REFNET/selector box selection and layout.
12. Checking system limitations, piping lengths and height differences.
13. Duct Design & Drafting
14. Air quantity calculations.
15. Duct sizing and routing.
16. Supply, return, fresh-air and exhaust duct layouts.
17. Selection and sizing of grilles, diffusers and other air-distribution accessories.
18. Preparation of detailed AutoCAD drawings.
19. Chilled Water System Design
20. Chilled-water pipe sizing and routing.
21. Pump flow and head calculations.
22. Chiller, AHU and FCU system layouts.
23. Preparation of chilled-water piping schematics.
24. Design of associated valves, fittings and accessories.
25. HVAC Drawings & Documentation
26. Preparation of HVAC plans, sections and details.
27. Coordination of HVAC services with architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing and fire-fighting drawings.
28. Preparation/revision of shop drawings and as-built drawings.
29. BOQ/quantity take-off from approved drawings, when required.

• Required SkillsStrong knowledge of HVAC design principles and calculations.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience in VRF/VRV and chilled-water HVAC systems.
• Knowledge of heat-load calculation software such as HAP or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to understand architectural and MEP drawings.
• Ability to independently complete assignments within agreed timelines.
• Previous experience with Daikin VRV systems will be an advantage.

• Payment will be fixed separately for each job, depending on the scope and complexity.
• Candidate should have their own computer, AutoCAD/software and reliable internet connection.
