Production Supervisor

About the Job

We are looking for a responsible and hands-on Production Supervisor / Junior Production Engineer to join our manufacturing unit at Kundli.The person will work directly on the factory floor and will be responsible for manpower, machines, production targets, quality and daily production reporting.This is a good opportunity for someone who wants to grow into a Production In-charge / Production Manager role.

Your Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day production on the shop floor.
• Allocate workers/operators to different machines and processes.
• Ensure daily production targets are achieved.
• Monitor machine running time, output and downtime.
• Check production quality and reduce rejection/rework.
• Take regular measurements using Vernier, Micrometer, Gauges etc.
• Read basic engineering drawings and understand dimensions/tolerances.
• Identify machine/process problems and coordinate with maintenance when required.
• Maintain daily production and rejection records.
• Prepare basic reports in Excel/Google Sheets.
• Ensure raw material and components are available for production.
• Coordinate with stores, quality and maintenance teams.
• Train and guide operators and helpers.
• Maintain discipline, housekeeping and 5S on the shop floor.
• Ensure workers follow safety and production procedures.
• Report production status and problems to senior management.

• Good at handling workers and getting work completed
• Responsible and punctual
• Comfortable taking ownership of production targets
• Able to identify problems and find practical solutions
• Comfortable working with machines and manufacturing processes
• Good with basic computer/Excel work
• Willing to learn and grow with the company

Candidates with strong manufacturing experience may also be considered irrespective of qualification.

Experience

1–5 years of experience in manufacturing.

Experience in any of the following will be an advantage:

● CNC machining

● Hand tools

● Auto components

● Fasteners

● Forging

● Machining

● Engineering components

● Steel products

Technical Skills Preferred

● CNC machine/process knowledge

● Vernier & Micrometer

● Basic engineering drawings

● Basic knowledge of tolerances

● Production planning

● Quality inspection

● Rejection and rework control

● MS Excel

● 5S / shop-floor discipline

Important – Please Read

This is a hands-on manufacturing job.The candidate will be required to spend most of the working day on the shop floor, managing operators and monitoring production.

This is not a desk-only engineering job.
