HPC Support Engineer
As an HPC Support Engineer at Netweb Technologies, you will be responsible for maintaining, configuring, and ensuring the reliable operation of computer systems, servers, and network devices. Your key responsibilities will include
- Installing and upgrading computer components and software, as well as managing servers and implementing automation processes.
- Troubleshooting hardware and software errors by conducting diagnostics, documenting issues and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing their impact.
- Taking the lead in desktop and helpdesk support efforts to ensure timely resolution of desktop applications, workstation, and related equipment problems with minimal disruptions.
- Deploying, configuring, and managing HPC (High-Performance Computing) systems and applications through cross-technology administration, scripting, and monitoring automation execution.

Skill Set:To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Previous working experience as an HPC Engineer, with a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience.
- A Bachelor's degree in computer science or Information Systems (IT).
- Familiarity with the fundamentals of Linux scripting languages.
- In-depth knowledge of Linux distributions such as RedHat and CentOS.
- Experience with Linux servers in virtualized environments.
- Good knowledge of Linux files permissions, file systems management, account management, performance monitoring, backup using Linux native tools, and Logical Volume Management.
- Excellent knowledge of server hardware platforms.
- A very good understanding of server, storage, and virtualization concepts.
- Good knowledge of networking concepts, including subnets, gateways, masks, etc.
- Excellent knowledge of performance monitoring and troubleshooting in Linux environments.
- Familiarity with tools like Terraform and PowerCLI.
- Basic understanding of Kubernetes and Vsphere CSI.
- Knowledge of load balancing, firewalls, and other related concepts.
- Solid understanding of protocols such as DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP, and SNMP.
- Good knowledge of network configuration and troubleshooting on Linux, OS hardening, performance tuning, and OS patching.
- Linux certifications (RHCT, RHCE, and LPIC) will be preferred.
Preferred Background
Must-Have:The following are essential skills and knowledge required for the role:
- Experience with HPC nodes, active nodes, and job schedulers.
- Knowledge of GPO Node and HPC (High-Performance Computing) concepts.
- Strong expertise in Linux administration, including RedHat and CentOS.
- Familiarity with load balancing, disaster management, and VDM (Virtual Desktop Manager) storage.
