Job Description
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Sourcing and Vendor Management
- Find and evaluate new suppliers.
- Negotiate prices, discounts, and contract terms.
- Build long-term relationships with reliable vendors.
- Purchasing Operations
- Create and process purchase orders (POs).
- Compare quotes from different sellers to save money.
- Coordinate with internal teams to understand what supplies are needed.
- Delivery and Logistics
- Track shipments to make sure items arrive on time.
- Solve problems with late deliveries or damaged goods.
- Work with the warehouse and finance teams to check received items and clear bills.
- Inventory and Record Keeping
- Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or extra inventory.
- Keep accurate records of all purchases, invoices, and contracts.
- Prepare reports on spending and market trends.
