Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION
Sales Trainer — Learning & Development
Trains new Sales hires from day one and keeps the existing Sales team's skills, tools and reporting sharp
1. JOB SNAPSHOT
Job Title: Sales Trainer
Department: Learning & Development (LND) — Function: Sales Training
Reports To: Nidhi Kharb Sihag (Trainer – L&D Department Head)
Grade G3 (per Appointment Letter Annexure A)
Site: Margao Office
Work Mode: Office (in-person, on-site training and coaching role — not WFH)
Employment Type: Permanent, full-time
Experience: Prior experience in sales training, sales coaching or sales team handling required — this is not a fresher role.
Salary ₹20,000 – ₹25,000 per month (based on experience and interview performance)
2. ABOUT THE ROLE
IWLD is looking for a hands-on Sales Trainer to build and sharpen the skills of its Sales team — from the day a new Sales Executive or CRM Executive joins, through their ongoing growth on the floor.
This is a hybrid coaching-and-oversight role. You will run structured induction training for every new Sales hire, and you will also run ongoing coaching sessions, refreshers and pitch/script reviews for the existing team, so performance keeps improving well after induction ends. You deliver the training — certification and formal testing sign-off stay with L&D's Assessment & Testing function.
Beyond delivering training, you will keep a close eye on how the Sales team actually uses its tools — checking entries in Google Sheets and the CRM, reviewing sales reports for gaps or errors, and problem-solving wherever the numbers or the process don't add up. You will work closely with the Sales Coordinators and Sales Executives on the floor, and report into the Learning & Development Department Head on training outcomes and team readiness.
3. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
A. New Hire Onboarding & Induction Training
- Run structured induction training for every new Sales Executive/CRM Executive joining the Sales team, covering IWLD's sales process, pitch structure and conversion approach.
- Walk new joiners through the Google Sheets and CRM tools they'll use daily, making sure they can log leads, update statuses and pull reports correctly before going live.
- Track new-hire training progress and flag readiness — or gaps — to the Reporting Manager before the trainee is moved to live calls or chats.
B. Ongoing Coaching & Refreshers
- Run periodic coaching sessions and refreshers for the existing Sales team — pitch/script reviews, objection-handling practice, and updates whenever the sales process changes.
- Review live calls/chats or recordings to identify skill gaps and coach individuals one-on-one where needed.
- Share recurring training needs and skill-gap patterns with the L&D Department Head so training content stays current.
C. Sales Tool & Reporting Oversight
- Regularly check the Sales team's Google Sheets and CRM tool usage for accuracy, completeness and correct process-following.
- Review sales reports to catch discrepancies, missed follow-ups or process errors, and flag or resolve them with the relevant Sales Executive or Coordinator.
- Act as a problem-solver when a tool, report or process issue is slowing the Sales team down — escalating to Technology/Systems where the issue is a system fault rather than a usage error.
D. Training Delivery & Documentation
- Deliver training only — this role does not own certification or testing sign-off; certified assessments remain with L&D's Assessment & Testing function.
- Maintain training records/attendance for every session run, and keep training material (scripts, pitch guides, process notes) current and organised.
- Escalate to the L&D Department Head where a Sales team member's performance issue looks like it needs to move from informal coaching into a formal process (e.g. a Performance Improvement Plan) rather than continuing coaching indefinitely.

5. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Must-Haves
- Prior experience in sales training, sales team coaching, or sales team handling — this is not a fresher role.
- Strong, clear spoken and written communication in English and Hindi — you will be training and coaching daily, one-on-one and in groups.
- Comfortable working inside Google Sheets, Google Drive/Docs and CRM tools daily — checking entries, pulling reports, spotting errors.
- Strong problem-solving instincts — able to trace a reporting or process gap back to its cause and fix it or escalate it correctly.
- Confident delivering structured training sessions and giving direct, constructive one-on-one feedback.
- Comfortable working on a laptop for daily reporting and documentation, with strong reading comprehension and consistent follow-up.
- High sense of ownership over training outcomes and team readiness.
Good to Have
- Prior hands-on sales floor experience (Sales Executive, Sales Coordinator or CRM Executive background).
- Experience designing or updating pitch scripts / sales process documentation.
- Familiarity with call/chat quality-review practices.
6. WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN THIS ROLE
- New Sales hires are induction-ready and hit the floor with working knowledge of the pitch, process and tools — with no confusion about how to log or report their work.
- The existing Sales team's Google Sheets/CRM usage stays clean and accurate, with reporting errors caught and resolved quickly.
- Coaching and refreshers measurably improve the team's pitch and objection-handling quality, tracked through the L&D Department Head's reporting.
- Escalations — tool/system issues versus performance issues needing a formal process — are correctly routed the first time.
