Architect / CAD Design Engineer – Construction Equipment

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Architect / CAD Design Engineer to support our construction equipment division. The candidate will be responsible for understanding client requirements, preparing detailed technical drawings using CAD software, and developing drawings to be attached with the Bill of Materials (BOM). The role requires close coordination with clients, sales, and engineering teams to ensure accurate and timely project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand and analyze client requirements related to construction equipment and project specifications.
• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD and other relevant design software.
• Develop and maintain technical drawings to be attached with the Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Create layout drawings, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and installation drawings as required.
• Coordinate with internal teams, including engineering, procurement, and sales, for project execution.
• Review and modify drawings based on client feedback and site requirements.
• Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards and project specifications.
• Maintain proper documentation and revision control of all technical drawings.
• Support project planning and execution by providing technical design inputs.
• Visit project sites, if required, to understand operational and installation requirements.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in CAD drafting/design, preferably in construction equipment, material handling, or industrial projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other CAD software.
• Good understanding of construction equipment, fabrication drawings, and BOM preparation.
• Strong communication and client-handling skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in preparing technical drawings for cranes, hoists, material handling equipment, or industrial structures.
• Knowledge of fabrication processes and engineering standards.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
