Job Description:

We are looking for a candidate who will be responsible for handling accounting, taxation and audit assignments, with exposure to NBFC branch audits, GST, TDS and finalisation of accounts.

The role requires strong accounting fundamentals, attention to detail and the ability to independently manage assignments while coordinating with seniors and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

• Maintain and review books of accounts for clients.
• Pass and verify accounting entries, including purchase, sales, receipts, payments and journal entries.
• Perform ledger scrutiny and bank reconciliations.
• Review receivables, payables, provisions, accruals and other balance sheet schedules.
• Ensure accounting records are complete, accurate and properly supported.

2. GST Compliance

• Prepare GST workings and reconciliations.
• Assist in preparation and filing of GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and other applicable GST returns.
• Reconcile books with GST returns and GST portal data.
• Review Input Tax Credit and identify discrepancies.
• Assist in GST annual return and audit-related workings.

3. TDS Compliance

• Prepare monthly TDS workings.
• Verify applicability and rates of TDS.
• Reconcile TDS payable ledgers with challans and returns.
• Assist in preparation and filing of quarterly TDS returns.
• Assist in handling TDS notices, corrections and related documentation.

4. NBFC Branch Audits

• Conduct NBFC branch audits as per the audit plan and applicable regulatory requirements.
