Job Description
A delivery boy safely and promptly transports goods, food, or packages from stores or hubs to customers' homes and businesses. Core duties include planning efficient routes using GPS, collecting cash or digital payments, checking order accuracy, and providing polite customer service. [1, 2, 3, 4]
Main Responsibilities
- Deliver items on time and in good condition to correct addresses.
- Plan routes using maps or GPS to save time.
- Collect payments or secure customer signatures.
- Handle goods carefully, especially fragile items or hot food.
- Follow traffic laws and drive safely at all times.
- Maintain logs of daily deliveries and money collected.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Valid license to drive a two-wheeler or car.
- Clean driving record with no major violations.
- Good local knowledge of streets and shortcuts.
- Smartphone use for GPS navigation and order apps.
- Polite manners for good customer interaction.
- Physical fitness to lift packages and work in various weather conditions. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7]
