Job Description
- Job Responsibilities:Design and development of lightning protection systems (LPS) as per applicable standards (IEC 62305 / IS 2309 / NFC / UL standards)
- Preparation of risk assessment calculations for lightning protection as per IEC 62305-2
- Design of external lightning protection systems including air terminals, down conductors, and earthing systems
- Design of internal lightning protection including surge protection devices (SPDs) and bonding systems
- Preparation of layout drawings, routing diagrams, and earthing network designs
- Selection and specification of lightning protection materials and components
- Preparation of BOQ (Bill of Quantities) and cost estimation
- Coordination with project, site, and installation teams for execution
- Conducting site surveys and providing technical inputs for design optimization
- Ensuring compliance with safety standards and statutory regulations
- Preparation of technical documentation, reports, and as-built drawings
- Required Skills:Strong knowledge of lightning protection systems and earthing design
- Familiarity with IEC 62305 standards and risk assessment methodology
- Experience in designing surge protection systems (SPDs)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant design software
- Understanding of grounding/earthing techniques and soil resistivity concepts
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills
- Additional Requirements:Experience in industrial, infrastructure, or commercial projects preferred
- Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Willingness to travel for site surveys if required
- Immediate joiners will be preferred
