Role Overview

The Medical Representative will be responsible for building strong relationships with Ayurvedic doctors and relevant healthcare practitioners, educating them about PŪRAROMA products and driving product recommendations through regular doctor engagement.

The ideal candidate should have prior experience working as a Medical Representative for an Ayurveda / herbal healthcare brand where doctors are an important sales and recommendation channel.

Key Responsibilities

Doctor Engagement & Product Detailing

• Visit Ayurvedic doctors and relevant healthcare practitioners regularly within the assigned territory.
• Present and detail PŪRAROMA products, including their ingredients, benefits, usage and key differentiators to encourage appropriate product recommendations.
• Conduct regular follow-ups with doctors to develop long-term professional relationships.
• Introduce new products and provide samples, literature and other promotional material as required.

Prescription / Recommendation Generation

• Develop a strong base of doctors who actively recommend PŪRAROMA products.
• Increase the number of active and repeat recommending doctors within the assigned territory.

Market & Sales Coordination

• Ensure that recommended products are available through relevant pharmacies, retailers and online channels.
• Gather feedback from doctors regarding products, patient experience, competition and market requirements.
• Monitor competitor activity, particularly Ayurveda, herbal and natural healthcare brands operating through the doctor channel.

Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of doctor visits and follow-ups.
• Track doctors contacted, doctors converted and active recommending doctors.
• Submit regular reports covering doctor calls, conversions, feedback and territory development.
• Work towards monthly doctor coverage and business-generation targets.

Candidate Profile

Essential

• 2–5 years of experience as a Medical Representative / Medical Sales Representative for an Ayurveda brand - MANDATORY
• Existing relationships with Ayurvedic doctors / BAMS practitioners will be strongly preferred.
• Experience in doctor detailing and generating prescriptions/product recommendations.
• Strong communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
• Comfortable with extensive field travel and daily doctor visits.

Preferred Background

Candidates with experience at established Ayurveda, herbal, phytotherapy or natural healthcare companies with a strong doctor channel are required.
