Picker-Packer – Roles & ResponsibilitiesRole: Picker-Packer / Warehouse Executive

Department: Warehouse / Operations

• 1. Order Processing – UniCommerceMonitor and process incoming orders through UniCommerce.
• Check order details, SKU, quantity, size/variant and shipping information before picking.
• Generate/print picklists, invoices, packing slips and shipping labels as required.
• Ensure orders are processed within the defined dispatch timelines.
• Update order status accurately in UniCommerce at every stage.
• Coordinate with the dispatch/logistics team for shipment handover.
• Handle order cancellations, hold orders and other exceptions as instructed.
• 2. PickingPick products accurately from the designated warehouse locations based on the UniCommerce picklist.
• Verify SKU, product description, variant, quantity and condition before moving items to packing.
• Follow FIFO/FEFO wherever applicable.
• Ensure there is no mix-up between similar-looking SKUs.
• Report stock discrepancies, damaged products or missing inventory immediately.
• 3. PackingPack orders safely and appropriately according to product type and company guidelines.
• Verify the order one final time before sealing the package.
• Ensure correct invoice/shipping label is attached to the correct package.
• Follow packaging standards to minimize product damage and returns.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the packing area.
• 4. Inventory ManagementAssist in maintaining accurate physical inventory.
• Conduct regular cycle counts/stock checks.
• Identify and report discrepancies between physical stock and UniCommerce inventory.
• Assist with stock inwarding, put-away and bin/location management.
• Ensure products are stored in their correct designated locations.
• Maintain proper SKU and barcode identification.
• 5. Inwarding & Put-AwayReceive incoming stock and verify quantities against the relevant documents.
• Check products for damage, incorrect SKU or quantity discrepancies.
• Barcode/label products where required.
• Update inwarding/GRN-related information in UniCommerce as per the company's process.
• Put products away in their designated warehouse locations.
• 6. Returns & RTO HandlingReceive and inspect customer returns and RTO shipments.
• Verify returned products against the order details.
• Check product condition and packaging.
• Update return-related information in UniCommerce as per process.
• Segregate good stock, damaged stock and products requiring further inspection.
• 7. Dispatch & Logistics CoordinationEnsure all packed orders are ready for courier pickup within the required timeline.
• Coordinate with courier partners/riders for shipment handover.
• Verify shipment count and AWB/label details during handover.
• Maintain proper dispatch records.
• Escalate delayed pickups or shipment-related issues.
• 8. Warehouse Discipline & AccuracyMaintain an organized, clean and safe warehouse.
• Follow proper SKU/bin/location management.
• Minimize picking, packing and inventory errors.
• Handle company inventory responsibly.
• Follow all SOPs related to warehouse operations and safety.

UniCommerce-Specific ResponsibilitiesThe person should ideally be comfortable with:

• Coordinating with marketplaces/webstore orders through UniCommerce

• Ideal Candidate Profile1–3 years of experience in warehouse / e-commerce operations.
• Prior experience with UniCommerce is strongly preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Comfortable using barcode scanners, printers and warehouse systems.
• Good understanding of SKU, barcode, inventory and order processing.
• Good attention to detail.
• Physically fit for regular picking, packing and movement of inventory.
• Responsible and comfortable working with targets and deadlines.
