Assistant Manager - Food and Beverage

Food & Beverages Assistant Manager 

Position Summary: 

The Food & Beverages Assistant Manager oversees the efficient and high-quality operation of client's food services, including café management, pantry services and catering services. This role is responsible for ensuring premium service delivery, financial sustainability, and alignment with the firm’s policies and compliance standards. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

Customer Experience & Service Excellence 

• Ensure an outstanding corporate dining experience by maintaining high service standards, responsiveness, and stakeholder engagement. 

• Maintain consistency in food quality, presentation, and service speed. 

• Proactively gather employee feedback to continuously enhance dining offerings and services. 

 

Food Quality, Safety & Compliance 

• Ensure all food and beverages meet the highest standards of freshness, taste, and visual appeal. 

• Implement and enforce rigorous food safety, hygiene, and sanitation protocols. 

• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with local regulations and client’s policies. 

 

Menu & Product Innovation 

• Monitor sales trends and customer preferences to optimize menu offerings. 

• Collaborate with vendors and chefs to introduce innovative, seasonal, and health-conscious menu items. 

• Support sustainability initiatives through responsible sourcing, waste reduction, and environmentally friendly practices. 

 

Financial & Operational Efficiency 

• Maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing waste and ensuring cost-effective procurement. 

• Implement data-driven decision-making for pricing, menu planning, and demand forecasting. 

• Develop cost-control measures while maintaining service quality. 

 

Facility & Vendor Management 

• Ensure all dining facilities are maintained in a clean, professional, and welcoming condition. 

• Oversee vendor performance, ensuring contractual compliance and adherence to client's operational standards. 

• Optimize labor management and resource allocation while maintaining service excellence. 

 

Team Leadership & Development 

• Lead and motivate the food services team, fostering a culture of professionalism and continuous improvement. 

• Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities to enhance team skills. 

• Ensure efficient workforce management to balance cost control with service level expectations. 

 

Reporting & Communication 

• Act as the primary point of contact for food service operations, keeping the General Manager informed of key developments. 

• Maintain open communication with internal stakeholders to align food services with business objectives. 

• Provide regular reports on financial performance and operational improvements. 

 

Qualifications & Skills Required 

• Experience: 5–10 years in corporate catering, food services, or hospitality operations. Hotel background preferred.  

• Culinary & Service Standards: Strong understanding of food quality, safety, hygiene, and customer service excellence. 

• Financial & Operational Management: Experience managing budgets, cost control, and menu pricing strategies. 

• Vendor & Supply Chain Management: Ability to oversee supplier relationships, procurement, and contract compliance. 

• Innovation & Sustainability: Knowledge of food trends, sustainability practices, and ESG initiatives in food services. 

• Team Leadership: Experience in managing and training food service staff, ensuring high performance and professionalism. 

• Technology & Data Analysis: Proficiency in POS systems, inventory management, and data-driven decision-making. 

• Stakeholder Management: Strong ability to interact with senior leadership, vendors, and internal teams. 

• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written skills in both English and local language. 

 

This role demands strong leadership, financial acumen, and a customer-focused approach to enhance the corporate dining experience at the client location.
