Assistant Manager - Operations - Freight Forwarding
Ocean Import Operations
- · Manage FCL/LCL import shipments from pre-arrival to final delivery and closure.
- · Coordinate with shipping lines, NVOCCs, CFS/ICDs, CHAs, transporters, and overseas agents.
- · Track vessel schedules, cargo availability, shipment milestones, and delivery timelines.
- · Ensure timely shipment updates and adherence to customer
SOPs and SLAs. Documentation & Customs
- · Verify BLs, invoices, packing lists, and other import documentation.
- · Coordinate documentation amendments, customs clearance, and Delivery Order processing.
- · Ensure compliance with customs, port, and company requirements.
Vendor & Customer Coordination
- · Follow up with shipping lines and vendors for cargo release and timely delivery.
- · Resolve routine shipment issues and escalate critical exceptions.
- · Provide timely shipment updates and address customer queries. Reporting & Compliance
- · Maintain shipment trackers, operational MIS, and accurate shipment records.
- · Monitor turnaround times, pending activities, and documentation accuracy.
- · Coordinate billing inputs and ensure timely shipment closure
