Configuration Manager

Responsibilities:

• Define, implement, and improve the release management process
• Plan/coordinate release schedules and cycles with all necessary Teams
• Measure/monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time and meet or exceed expectations
• Define, implement, and improve SCM processes to improve productivity
• Communicate all key project plans, commitments, and changes (including requirements, test plans, schedule, and scope changes) to stakeholders and product owners
• Conduct Release Readiness Reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go Reviews
• Produce Deployment, Run Books and Implementation Plans
• Define, implement, and improve change & risk management processes to improve deployments.
• Work with build engineers to understand impact of branches and code merges
• Participate in CAB meetings to maintain awareness of release schedules and future release targets
• Maintain a release repository and manage key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists
• Research new software development technologies and configuration management methodologies
• Enable successful release management by moving code from Development and Testing environments to Staging and Production.

Skill Set:

• 3+ years of release management experience
• 3+ year of software configuration management
• Strong knowledge of GIT repository, source code control management systems
• Strong knowledge of GIT branching concepts, configuration and automated builds using Jenkins is required
• Solid understanding of project management principles
• Agile Software Development and Management methods and ability to excel within an “Agile” environment
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion
• Good understanding of Quality Control and Test Automation in Agile-based Continuous Integration environments
